Samsung's road to replacing Apple's innovation is still very long

Although from the global market point of view, Samsung's market share dominated, but in the US market, Samsung's flagship mobile phone Galaxy S sales are still not as good as the iPhone 5. Samsung relied on rich product lines for its good performance in emerging markets. Tablet PCs such as the Galaxy Note 2 were fortunately welcomed by users, and Apple did not launch products in both the tablet and mobile markets.

A variety of products may be a magic weapon to increase sales, but it is not a guarantee of market leadership. Innovation is the key. According to a survey, Apple has been rated as the most innovative company for three consecutive years, and is far higher than Google, which ranks second, while Samsung ranks only fourth. In the field of innovation, Apple is a worthy king. Apple did not create tablets and smart phones, but its products are far superior to their competitors.

Samsung incorporated the concept of smartphones and tablets and launched the Galaxy Note 2, but this is generally considered less creative than Apple. Samsung has a long way to go in the path of innovation.

But at the same time, Samsung knows how this road should go. In the past, Samsung, LG, and other Asian brands were seen as big brands in the West, or alternatives to Sony products, but this is not the case. Samsung and Apple has a lot in common, and unlike Sony, Samsung is good at merging different probabilities and launching beautiful products.

It's hard to say that Apple will return to its peak, but Samsung will continue to gain a lot of market share through innovative and high-quality products, even if it sometimes learns from Apple's practices. Samsung also has the ability to challenge Apple in the high-end market, Samsung has its own hardware production line, can well control the cost of raw materials, and innovate at every hardware level.

Samsung is an innovative company, but it is not yet willing to innovate at the expense of market share.
