When starting up a PLC, the startup mode is configured through the "Startup Function (SETUP)" option within the CPU module parameters. The S7 series PLC defines three different startup methods based on the EN61131 standard: Hot Start, Warm Start, and Cold Start. Each method has its own unique behavior during the restart process. A Hot Start occurs when the PLC-CPU restarts, and it begins by executing the organization block OB101 before moving on to the main cycle OB1. During this mode, all CPU data is preserved, including all data areas such as timers, counters, and flag registers—whether they are in the retention or non-retention area. This ensures that no data is lost during the restart. In a Warm Start, the PLC-CPU first processes the organization block OB100 before running the main cycle OB1. At startup, the contents of all PLC data blocks (DB) are retained, along with the values of hold timers, counters, and flag registers. However, any non-retentive timers, counters, and flag registers are reset to their initial state. A Cold Start is the most thorough of the three. When the PLC-CPU restarts in this mode, it starts by executing the organization block OB102 before proceeding to the main cycle OB1. All data blocks (DB) are cleared, and the original set values are reloaded from the load memory. Additionally, all timers, counters, and flag registers within the CPU are completely reset, regardless of whether they are in the retention or non-retention area. This effectively returns the system to its initial factory settings.
Female header always called as [Header connector", YYE provide widely range of header connector, from 2.54mm (.100″ inch) pitch to 1.0mm (.039″ inch) pitch. The number of pins (contacts) is from 2 to 40 pins per orw. There are three type: Straight (Dip Vertical), Right angle, SMT (surface mount).
