In the era of the Internet of Everything, IoT technology is transforming traditional industries. Enterprises must harness strong innovation and leverage mobile connectivity to seize digital opportunities. In response, China Mobile launched the MIMI Box 2.0, an advanced smart home product designed for the evolving digital landscape.
Smart and intelligent, the MIMI Box 2.0 uses NXP chips and integrates NFC, WiFi, and Bluetooth technologies. This allows users to easily take screenshots, bookmark videos, interact with peripherals, and control set-top boxes—all with one touch. The result is a more intuitive and immersive user experience.

Powered by Pixelworks’ TrueCut Ultra HD video solutions, the MIMI Box 2.0 enhances video performance while reducing bandwidth pressure. Additionally, a strategic partnership with HKUST supports voice software development, enabling smarter voice interactions through cloud and edge-based AI.
With a focus on content optimization, the MIMI Box 2.0 leverages China Mobile’s extensive video resources to expand coverage and speed up content updates. It also strengthens partnerships in niche areas like sports and documentaries, creating a robust content matrix that improves localization and enriches user experience.
Looking ahead, MIMI Box 2.0 will continue to evolve, integrating features like UnionPay support to become a home mobile POS and a central hub for smart home connectivity. Beyond being a traditional TV box, it aims to form synergies in both quality and content, driving the development of smart homes.
China Mobile’s future is closely tied to its industry partners, working together to shape the future of the smart home ecosystem. As the Internet of Everything continues to grow, MIMI remains committed to innovation and progress.
