Streaming giant Hulu has taken a big step into the world of virtual reality, announcing the release of three new VR experiences developed by CreaVR. These immersive content pieces include a horror film called "Happy Campers," a racing documentary titled "The Driver," and a science series named "A Curious Mind." This move marks a significant expansion for Hulu in the growing VR market.
"Happy Campers," a chilling horror experience, made its debut on October 13th, adding a new layer of fear to Hulu's VR library. Just a few days later, on October 17th, users can dive into "The Driver," a high-octane racing film featuring NASCAR driver Jeffrey Arnhart. The film gives viewers a first-person perspective as they race at breakneck speeds, making them feel like they're behind the wheel.
Meanwhile, "A Curious Mind" is a fascinating science series that explores the universe’s most intriguing phenomena. Starring Dominic Monaghan, known for his roles in "The Lord of the Rings" and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," this series takes audiences on an educational journey through space and time. It will also be available on Hulu starting October 17th.
CreamVR CEO David Brady expressed excitement about the collaboration, saying, “We’ve been working hard to develop new business models and partnerships in the VR space. Partnering with Hulu, a leading content provider, allows us to deliver truly immersive experiences that push the boundaries of storytelling.â€
CreamVR’s creative directors, Andrew MacDonald and Tristan Cezair, shared their enthusiasm for the projects. “The Driver offers an incredible experience—360° 3D video puts you right in the driver’s seat, feeling every twist and turn at over 150 km/h. In Happy Campers, users are fully immersed in a terrifying wilderness setting, creating a unique kind of adrenaline rush. And in A Curious Mind, we've created a dynamic stage where Dominic Monaghan brings the universe’s mysteries to life in stunning visual detail.â€
These VR experiences are now available on the Hulu VR app, with "A Curious Mind" also accessible via the CreamVR platform. Whether you're a fan of horror, racing, or science, these new releases offer something for everyone looking to explore the future of entertainment.
