When I first heard "I love fast package" while looking for intelligent hardware design outsourcing, I noticed a clear upward trend in audio and voice technology outsourcing. We examined three audio and voice development cases on the platform and found that their outsourcing strategies were highly valuable. The company I work with develops consumer health and medical equipment and already has a range of core products, as well as an embedded development team capable of handling routine tasks. However, adding a "snoring recognition" feature posed a challenge. While other functions of the device can be handled internally, the snoring recognition algorithm is more complex. Our team lacks expertise in speech recognition and has no one with in-depth knowledge of the field. After learning about "I Love Quick Pack," we released a request for algorithm experts to help implement the snoring recognition function, focusing solely on the algorithm’s effective implementation.
The engineers required must be able to accurately identify snoring sounds and distinguish them from other noises within a distance of 1 meter, with a mis-detection rate of less than 5%. Other sounds should include speaking, coughing, whistling, tapping, music, TV, car noise, and fan sounds. After posting the project requirements, several engineers quickly reached out to discuss the details. This experience taught me the importance of clearly defining my design needs—handling system development myself while outsourcing unfamiliar algorithms to speed up the product process.
Outsourcing Strategy 2: Define Smart WiFi-Bluetooth Speaker Products by Yourself, Outsource Design / PCBA. I’m involved in smart audio products and have my own product and development team. We understand what the market needs and are familiar with Bluetooth and WiFi technologies. Recently, I came across the Dingdong smart speaker developed by iFLYTEK and JD.com and wanted to create a similar product. Although we have a technical team, we lacked mature voice technology solutions. To accelerate the development cycle, we turned to "I Love Quick Pack" for professional support. We released the development requirements, hoping to find a team that could provide complete software and hardware solutions and even supply PCBA directly.
The module needed to establish an Android platform and implement voice recognition control and remote control via Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 2.4G embedded software, APK, and far-field voice acquisition technology. The main challenge was achieving accurate far-field speech recognition, especially in noisy environments. Hardware noise reduction and algorithm processing are essential for high recognition rates. Additionally, the system had to handle recognition during audio playback at distances of 3–5 meters, which increased the difficulty. I handle dozens of mobile phone shipments monthly, and my business is stable. I want to create an intelligent gift to expand my customer base. My need is to develop a fun voice-related hardware product, similar to WeChat's magic sound feature. It connects to a phone or landline via an audio cable, allowing users to change their tone through a handheld device. The cost must be low, but it needs unique features to stand out from others.
After searching for solution providers, I found the prices too high and no affordable options available. Considering the overall cost, I decided to use low-cost 8-bit or 16-bit DSP chips from Taiwan to implement a simple local voice change algorithm without network access, which would keep costs under control.
