V100 micro projection engine (Micron)

Micron Technology Inc. announced the launch of its first V100 pico projector engine with compact size and high image quality for the consumer video and mobile application market. The V100 uses Micron's innovative hexagonal pixel multiplying technology (HPX) to achieve the best efficiency for video input signals, meeting the needs of miniature displays, and opening up possibilities for pico projectors and new usage modes. Micron also presented this product at the International Electronic Components and Production Technology Show (electronicAsia) in Hong Kong from October 13th to 16th.

Mobile devices have become the mainstream of consumer electronics products, and their functions are constantly innovating and integrating to meet consumer needs. Micro-projection is one of them. According to Display Search 2010 handheld projector technology and market forecast, the mobile embedded micro-projection market revenue has an estimated annual compound growth rate (CAGR) of 134% between 2010 and 2014, and is expected to reach the overall camp of the micro display market in 2014. The revenue will exceed $1.1 billion, which shows the strong potential of this market. Among all the micro-projection technologies, LCOS technology provides a perfect trade-off between cost and performance. It has recently been regarded as the most competitive technology in the micro-projection market, and the annual compound growth of market revenue during 2010-2014. The rate estimate can also reach 78%.

Mike Zeigler, general manager of Micron's micro display division, said that the current integration of micro-projection technology in handheld devices is in the growth stage. Once the cost and performance fully meet the market, applications such as consumer electronics and mobile phones are expected to take off quickly and become popular. The improvement of the design and innovation capabilities of Taiwanese and Chinese manufacturers, as well as the acceleration of mass production and manufacturing of new products, is an important driving force for the rapid development of the handheld micro-projection market.

Zeigler pointed out that the micro display market is an important part of Micron's product strategy. Through the introduction of differentiated products, Micron further extends its expertise in research and design in the semiconductor field. Micron's unique micro-projection technology FLCOS is based on long-term CMOS manufacturing experience, so it can integrate clear image processing and built-in memory functions. Micron is optimistic about the development of this technology market, and actively uses its own technology and manufacturing expertise to create micro-projection solutions that combine the advantages of specific products, cost and video performance, such as mobile phones, digital cameras, DVD players and toys. New applications.

The FLCOS microdisplay panel of the V100 pico projector engine covers all the necessary image processing, eliminating the need to add additional processors, thus providing energy and cost advantages. Micron's innovative HPX technology provides sharper and smoother diagonal lines for video scanning, with video resolutions up about 20% diagonal PPI (pixel-per-inch) compared to traditional square pixels. In addition, the V100 has 5 true color lumens to maintain color definition and brightness, and the video output is more efficient than traditional white projectors, and the projection brightness is about three times that of a typical five-color filter projector.

To connect to a LAN, a Network Cable is essential. The common network cables in the LAN are mainly twisted pair, Coaxial Cable, and optical cable. Twisted pair is a data transmission line composed of many pairs of wires. It is characterized by its low price, so it is widely used, such as our common telephone line. It is used to connect to the RJ45 crystal head. It has two kinds of STP and UTP, and we usually use UTP.
