"Twelfth Five-Year Plan" opens up new development for wire and cable industry

As the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” ends and the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” opens, the wire and cable industry is once again ushering in a new stage of development. Following the announcement of the second and third batch of tender results announced recently by the smart grid, it was recently learned that the fourth tender of the State Grid was also about to start. The centralized bidding for smart grid construction is a major stimulus to the industry chain enterprises.

The smart grid announced the results of the second and third batch of tenders. On November 10th, the State Grid announced the results of the second and third batch of tenders for the smart grid in 2010. The three batches of tenders were for primary equipment in the year, involving transformers, transformers, and combination appliances. There are eight categories. Among them, Qixing Tower in the National Grid of Golmud in Qinghai to Tibet Lhasa DC networking project tower bidding, the winning angle steel tower totaled 12,600 tons, the successful bid price of 93,340,600 yuan, accounting for 21.80% of the company's operating income last year. In addition, TBEA's company has also won four bidder transformer packages, including 330kV Yongjing Power Transmission Project and 220kV Changfeng Business Power Transmission Project.

Judging from the results of the second batch and the third batch of tenders, both the number of products and the successful bidders have made significant progress over the first time, which has also made the market more competitive. For the industry chain, this is a good one, avoiding the situation where several companies are dominating. However, relevant officials of the National Energy Administration stated that most of the bidding projects for smart grid construction are smaller and more dispersed, and the amount of funds undertaken by the project itself will not be too large, but there will be a relatively stable and positive impact on related equipment companies.

"Twelfth Five-Year Plan" into the Golden Development Stage of Smart Grid Recently, the State Grid Corporation of China revealed that during the "12th Five-Year Plan" period, the national grid power grid investment will exceed 1.7 trillion yuan, and by 2015, a strong smart grid will basically be built. Shuyin Yin said that during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, the State Grid will vigorously strengthen the construction of the power grid and promote the development of clean energy to meet the needs of economic and social development. There are two major developments in power grid construction. One is the transmission problem of large power grids and backbone power grids. The other is to solve the weak problem of distribution networks and allow rural users to use high-quality electricity and reliable electricity to achieve high quality and low price.

According to the national grid plan, 2009-2010 is the pilot phase of smart grid planning. The “12th Five-Year Plan” smart grid will enter the phase of comprehensive construction. UHV will be the backbone grid of China’s strong smart grid and will therefore enter the peak of construction. Shen Jiang, deputy director of the Ministry of Smart Grid of State Grid Corporation of China, stated at the 7th China Electric Industry Development Summit Forum that by the end of this year, the country’s installed power generation capacity reached 979 million kilowatts, a very rapid increase. By 2015, the country’s total installed capacity will reach 1.436 billion kilowatts, with an average annual increase of 8% during the 12th Five-Year Plan period. It is understood that China’s new power installation during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period is expected to reach 380 million kilowatts, while the new power installation during the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” period is only 265 million kilowatts. On the other hand, it has benefited from the national “triple play”. The policy Dongfeng has initiated a large-scale smart meter replacement work since the beginning of this year. Some urban power grids have even launched the “four-in-one” and launched “power cat” services. At the same time, in the aspect of the rural power grid renovation project, the State Grid has recently formulated the “Administrative Measures for the Improvement and Upgrading of Rural Power Grids” and technical guidelines, setting forth clear requirements for equipment technical standards for rural power grid construction. According to a national grid source, in the future, it will continue to improve the construction standards of rural power grids, and in particular, improve the resilience of disasters.

UHVAC organizations favor the issue of which industry is most conducive to the development of upstream power generation by smart grids. Industry analysts say that on the side of power generation, wind power is the most favorable, followed by solar energy; on the grid side, the development of power electronic equipment manufacturing space The largest, circuit capacitors, transformers, switchgear, etc. are not the most profitable upstream industries; in the user-side industry, there are electric cars, solar energy manufacturing and so on. In addition, for the information and communication industry, the most important thing to promote is the production of electronic components and advanced energy storage equipment manufacturers.

Shanxi Securities analysts believe that smart power as a strategic emerging industry, is expected to be the peak of investment in the next five years, optimistic about the listed companies in the field, especially investment in key distribution network automation and intelligent substations. At the same time, the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" further clarified the future investment of the UHV. Investment is expected to reach the planned level of 300 billion yuan, and it will reach an average of 500-60 billion yuan per year. Considering that the construction period of UHV is longer, it will enter the peak period of approval in the next 1-2 years. UHV investment equipment accounts for more than half of the relevant equipment manufacturers will share this cake.

Guotai Junan analysts recommend that investors pay attention to the leading companies in the first three biddings of smart grid equipment, such as TBEA, China Xidian and Changgao Group. Comprehensively consider the 2010 performance and valuation, give the above three companies "overweight", "prudent overweight" and "prudent overweight" rating, at the same time, investors can be optimistic about the long-term power grid construction, especially the UHV comprehensive After the start, the performance of the three companies was boosted.
