"Qianjing unlimited" intelligent lighting stand, these companies set off the "smart tide" of the lighting industry!

In recent years, the field of intelligent lighting has become a hot topic in the LED industry. However, for many years, most smart lighting solutions were more about hype than real progress. This was mainly due to the lack of scale in the domestic smart lighting market, low consumer acceptance, and immature technology. By 2017, things started to change significantly. Smart lighting was no longer just a passing trend—it was gaining momentum and showing great potential. According to data from the High-tech Research Institute’s LED Research Institute (GGII), China's smart lighting output reached 14.7 billion yuan in 2016, marking a 102.8% increase compared to 2015. It is projected that by 2017, the output value will reach 28.4 billion yuan, reflecting a 93.2% growth. GGII also forecasts that by 2020, the output value of China's smart lighting will soar to 103.5 billion yuan. As the market grew, so did the interest from various players. The “Internet+” movement became a key driver for the transformation of the LED lighting industry. Major companies like Huawei, Haier, Midea, and Xiaomi began entering the smart lighting space, bringing capital, innovation, and new technologies that accelerated the maturation of smart home lighting. Industry experts note that smart lighting is gradually becoming more mature, primarily through two aspects: first, cross-industry collaboration is driving technological advancement and opening up new possibilities in the smart ecosystem; second, traditional LED distributors are starting to pay attention to smart lighting and are exploring ways to transform and upgrade their businesses to capture new profit opportunities. Several companies, including Sanxiong Aurora, NVC Group, Feile Audio, Haier Butler, Op Lighting, Philips Lighting, Rieter, Shengdi Optoelectronics, and Hongyan Electric, have been actively expanding into the smart lighting sector, creating a wave of innovation across the entire industry. Notable events included NVC Group’s strategic cooperation with Shaohaihui and Haier Home to establish an intelligent R&D center. Feile Audio partnered with Guiyang Bank to develop smart city initiatives, while Haier Butler showcased its smart lighting solutions at the China Household Appliances Expo. Op Lighting collaborated with Huawei HiLink to introduce smart lighting at AWE, and Philips Lighting worked with China Mobile on cellular IoT projects. Rieter announced a major investment in an intelligent photoelectric industrial park, while Shengdi Optoelectronics launched a smart business solution for commercial users. Hongyan Electric introduced smart home products in partnership with Ali Smart. Evergrande Group also joined forces with Tune Technology to implement a comprehensive smart lighting system across its real estate projects. Other developments included Power Integrations and Casambi Technologies launching a new reference design for smart lighting, and IKEA upgrading its Tradfri system to be compatible with Apple HomeKit. Philips Lighting rebranded its smart home lighting as "Philips Show" and expanded its integration with voice assistants like Alexa and HomeKit. Huawei established an NB-IoT Intelligent Lighting Joint Laboratory, and Philips Lighting partnered with China Telecom to support smart city development. Osram also formed a joint venture with Continental to develop automotive lighting solutions. Overall, the rise of the intelligent era has brought increased attention to smart lighting from various industries. While the sector involves multiple fields such as lighting, control systems, and IoT, it's clear that cross-border collaboration is essential for continued growth and innovation in this promising market.
