He stressed that "we must change the current unreasonable conditions of coal transportation on highways and railways and change the mode of energy transmission. According to the distribution of China's energy resources and electricity consumption demand, China will form a power flow pattern of “transmitting electricity from the west to the east” and “from north to south” in the future. Shuyin Yin disclosed that during the "12th Five-Year Plan" period, the State Grid Corporation of China will increase the number of 110 (66) kV and above lines 337,000 kilometers, with substation/commutation capacity of 1.92 billion kVA, which will meet an additional 380 million yuan. The installation and delivery of kilowatts of installed capacity, while increasing the resources to optimize the allocation of power to achieve cross-regional transmission of electricity 250 million kilowatts and 1.15 trillion kwh." At present, the construction of a strong smart grid with UHV as the backbone grid by the State Grid Corporation of China covers all aspects of power generation, transmission, substation, power distribution, electricity use, and dispatch of the power system, which can effectively promote the development of clean energy.
