The MC14528 is a CMOS integrated circuit designed for use in monostable flip-flop applications. It can be triggered repeatedly and is commonly used in timing circuits, delay circuits, and multivibrator configurations. This versatile IC is ideal for applications requiring precise time control or signal shaping.
Figure 1 shows the pin diagram of the MC14528 integrated circuit:
The following figure illustrates the function table of the MC14528:
Here is a working principle diagram of the MC14528:
This diagram shows a timing control circuit that uses the MC14528 as its core component:
In the circuit shown in Figure 4, when the power switch SW1 is turned on, point A goes high, which activates Trl. This causes the 2N2907A transistor to turn on, sending a trigger signal to pin 5 of the MC14528. The VR1 resistor and 1μF capacitor connected to pin 2 form a timing network. When the circuit is active, a high-level signal is output from pin 6, which drives pin 11 and turns on the BC547 transistor, lighting up LED1. Additionally, the 1kΩ resistor and 47μF capacitor connected to pin 14 create a delay circuit. Once the voltage at pin 14 reaches the trigger threshold, a high-level signal is output from pin 10, turning on the BC547 transistor again and lighting up LED2. The relay is then used to control other external circuits, making this setup suitable for various automated control applications.
