China's first LED patent pool in Shenzhen

The LED core patent barrier is like a Damocles sword that hangs over the Chinese LED industry. Chinese companies face the risk of patent infringement at any time. Recently, it was learnt from the Shenzhen Institute of Metrology and Quality Inspection that Shenzhen has established the first LED patent pool in China, and LED companies will be in an increasingly advantageous position in terms of self-protection of intellectual property and development of international markets.

According to reports, patent pools are the integration of many patentees' patents to achieve cross-licensing and mutual licensing. After the completion of the LED patent pool, it can not only maintain the Chinese LED company's share in the domestic market, but also help companies win foreign markets through patent licensing. When Chinese LED companies have strong enough patents, they can even engage in patent licenses with overseas companies and even allow Chinese LED products to enter foreign markets. This is also the most effective way to resolve patent infringement among enterprises.
