Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance jointly issued 2009 fiscal subsidies for the promotion of efficient lighting products. The notice requires that all regions and relevant departments should regard the promotion of high-efficiency lighting products as an important part of expanding domestic demand, maintaining growth, and adjusting the structure, intensifying promotion efforts, and ensuring the completion of the annual promotion task.

This year, the central government has allocated 600 million yuan to promote 120 million efficient lighting products, which is twice as much as last year, that is, to expand consumer demand, promote energy-saving and emission reduction, and promote enterprise development, benefiting urban and rural residents. First, to expand consumer demand, it is estimated that 600 billion yuan of financial subsidies will be used to stimulate consumer demand of about 1.5 billion yuan. The second is to promote energy-saving and emission reduction. It is estimated that it can save 6.2 billion kWh of electricity, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 6.2 million tons and sulfur dioxide by 62,000 tons. The third is to promote the development of enterprises, increase the domestic market share of products, and reduce the impact of the financial crisis on the export of products. The fourth is to benefit urban and rural residents, according to the electricity price of 0.5 yuan / kwh measured, the annual savings of 3.1 billion yuan in electricity costs. At the same time, the state requires all localities to increase their support to rural areas and poor areas so that poor groups can receive more benefits.
