Talking about the Design of the Control Panel of the Solar Power System

0 Preface

In recent years, with people's attention to environmental issues, the earth's requirements for clean energy have become higher and higher. The company has been devoted to the research and development of power generation system (PCS) for solar power generation.

Combining with the research and development case of the control panel of the solar power generation system, this paper introduces the method of reducing the cost and increasing the number of parallel connections for the adjustment of the system of multiple solar panels connected in parallel.

1 System Overview

Figure 1 is a functional block diagram of a large-scale solar power system.

The characteristic of this system is that the solar panels and unit inverters are grouped and connected to the system (AC connection), and the system protection and other information are collected and sent as a signal to the main controller, and the controller controls each unit inverter Connect to daisy chain connection via RS485 communication).

The control part of each unit inverter is shown in Figure 2.

By using our standard DSP substrate (PE-PR0 / C32), MPPT control and system integration of the above specifications can be achieved. After adding functions such as communication on the basis of the substrate, the control board portion shown in FIG. 2 is formed. The power supply is designed and manufactured by the end user. The main circuit is shown in Figure 3.

2 R & D case

R & D was conducted on the basis of the company's standard product DSP substrate when designing the inch, so it took only 3 months to develop the sample machine, which greatly shortened the development time and quickly entered the test stage (PE-PR0 / C32: DSP uses TI's high-speed floating decimal point DSP TMS320C32).

At the same time, in order to reduce the cost of sales, we also designed and developed a new control board using Renesas' RISC CPU SH7065 (fixed decimal point type). By using the RISC CPU, expensive components such as A / D converters can be reduced in configuration, making switching smoother.

Based on the company's development system, when the core chip is changed from DSP (TMS320C32) to RISC CPU (SH7065), there is no need to significantly modify the program due to factors such as electrical pulse counting. This is because it uses a unique analog floating decimal point, which makes it easy to transfer programs between fixed and floating decimal points. These can be achieved through the company's standard library (PEOS).

3 Conclusion

So far, the unit inverter control board has sold more than 300 sets in Japan, and it is still in continuous production. Through the company's development system, we believe that we can fully assist users in shortening the research and development time in the process of product development, achieving mass production at an early date, and improving product quality.
