LED display waterproof analysis

The outdoor LED display is similar to the car's environment. Therefore, the system researches the realization process of the waterproof function of the automobile, and learns from the waterproof technology, which can greatly improve the waterproof reliability of the outdoor LED display.

This paper analyzes and refines the design features of the car door structure, the characteristics of the sealing material and the contact and compression characteristics of the sealing material, so as to obtain waterproof technology that can be used for reference.

1. Design features of the car door structure

The structural design of the car door is shown in Figure 1. As can be seen from the figure, it is designed to have a rain gutter and a drainage hole in addition to the sealing strip. This design allows for water and drainage.

1.1 Waterproof design features

The main parts of waterproofing are the windows and doors.

For the window, the rainproof design uses two sealing structures (Fig. 1 (2)). The first sealing strip can block the rainwater from the outside of the door glass, and a small part of the infiltrated rainwater is blocked by the second sealing strip and flows out from the gap between the two sealing strips.

For the door, the waterproof is also two waterproof structures. First, the door extension is larger than the door frame, and the rain can be achieved when closed (as shown in Figure 2). The design of the door frame is generally a curve design (as shown in Figure 3), and the curve design can play a guiding role in rain prevention. Second, there is a rubber seal between the door and the door frame (as shown in Figure 2 and Figure 3). When the door is closed, the seal can form a second waterproof. The waterproof structure of the door can block most of the rainwater from the outside of the vehicle body. When rainwater flows from the top of the door and the door to the door, most of the gravity will flow along the guide groove to the outside of the body, and a small part will penetrate. The rain was blocked by the second seal.
