The fluorescent lamps at Gongzhufen, Guomao, Wanshou Road, Xizhimen and Dongzhimen subway stations will all be replaced by LED lights that are non-polluting and can save half the electricity. On March 17th, the reporter learned from the special interviews conducted by Zhongguancun in Beijing Spiritual Enterprise that the replacement of the LED light chips for these subway stations was independently developed by the local company Yimei. According to reports, the replacement has started from the beginning of March and is expected to be completed by the end of next month.

According to research and development personnel, the general fluorescent light source is mercury, which has a certain degree of pollution. The LED light source is a solid LED chip, no liquid and gas, and is a kind of green environmental protection lighting. At the same time, electricity consumption can also save more than half. Subway stations are places of public transportation. Frequent replacement of lamps is very troublesome. It is necessary to operate at night. Passengers who often take the subway may find it difficult to find fluorescent lights somewhere in the subway station. The life of LED lamps can reach 20 times that of ordinary fluorescent lamps.
