The Trade Association stated that India’s economy accelerated its development in 2003. According to China’s customs data, in 2003, the amount of light emitting diodes exported to Taiwan from Taiwan was only US$630,000. The export value in 2008 has exceeded US$10 million, even in 2009 and 2010. The average export amount is as much as 23 million US dollars. The main reasons for growth are the rise of energy conservation issues and the shift of global economic growth to emerging markets. The debt crisis in Europe has depressed the economic growth in Europe, the United States, and Japan. Most Taiwanese companies are still optimistic about the Indian LED market, and are strengthening the international marketing of MIT through the LED Expo platform. The products will help increase the acceptance of Taiwanese companies in the Indian market and expand the market share of Taiwanese LED products in India. The exhibitors of the exhibition are all highly confident and are expected to bring in fruitful orders.
