1 Introduction

Guanyinqiao Business Circle is located in Jiangbei District of Chongqing City and is one of the top ten famous commercial streets in China. The planning core area covers an area of ​​0.65 square kilometers, and the expansion area radiates an area of ​​5.08 square kilometers. In Chongqing's overall planning and positioning, Guanyinqiao Business Circle is positioned as “Chongqing Business Card, Urban Living Room, Civic Paradise, Consumer Paradise”, which is a large-scale ecological business circle that integrates ecological viewing, sightseeing, shopping, leisure and entertainment.

Since 2008, the three-phase planning and design of the night view of the Guanyinqiao shopping district in Jiangbei has been carried out. In 2008, the first phase of lighting design was completed, focusing on the highest buildings in Jiangbei District – the landmark buildings of the future international (Fig. 1); in 2010, the lighting design of the second phase of the five renovated buildings was completed, with the focus on the Beigang Jingang Building. MCC Building, etc. (Fig. 2); In 2012, completed the night lighting design of 20 buildings in the third phase, and the design team undertook the design of 9 of them, focusing on Tongji Yuanjing, Beifang Building, Beichen Mingdu, Bangxing North Waiting for the building (Figure 3).

2. Project Introduction

2.1 Project Overview

The first phase of the design carried out the overall night lighting planning for the Guanyinqiao shopping district in Jiangbei, and comprehensively controlled the brightness, light color and style, and carried out the key lighting design for the well-marked landmark buildings. The overall style is unified, showing a stylish and elegant temperament; the second phase of the design under the control of the lighting plan under the first phase of the lighting technology has been a new exploration, to create a colorful, stylish, but also a regional night lighting style; The second phase of the design won the fourth and sixth Zhongzhao Lighting Awards. On the basis of the first two phases, the third phase focuses on the lighting design of nine buildings in the core area and the densely populated outer ring area. While continuing the pre-style, it seeks breakthroughs in concepts and design techniques and clearly expresses Changes in the night scenes brought about by the changes in architecture and time in urban renewal. The North Building and Tianyu Ginza are two important buildings in the outer ring area.

2.2 Status of lighting carriers

From the perspective of urban spatial form, the business circle space is highly complex, and the public squares and city parks provide a rich viewing point for the business district night scene. In terms of architectural form, the buildings to be designed for lighting in the third phase of the commercial circle are mostly old buildings with façade renovation and functional replacement. The building type, construction age and function are different. Some buildings are bulky and mostly large. Composite commercial buildings, high-rise commercial buildings and commercial and residential buildings. Due to the scattered areas in the business district, most of the surrounding buildings have completed the construction of the night scene. Therefore, how to accurately define the status of each building in the night scene of the commercial circle, balance the coordination of the overall picture and fully express the individuality of each building. The contradiction makes the current lighting design more complicated and challenging.

The North Building (Figure 4) and Tianyu Ginza (Figure 5) are located at the intersection of Jianxin East Road and East Half Road, and the two buildings are across the street. The North Building is a modern high-rise commercial office building. The building volume is square and the facade is clearly divided. After the renovation of the façade in 2010, the podium part is formed into a double skin, which is wrapped by a perforated aluminum plate. The façade is evenly divided by vertical lines; the roof of the building is a flat roof, the traffic part is highlighted by the roof, and the triangular structure is decorated. The overall style is stable and simple. . The surface of Tianyu Ginza is dark green, the building facade is simple, the body is pure, the facade has many windows and the shape is regular. Part of the façade is clearly defined and the entrance is uniquely shaped.

3. Design guiding ideology

After years of construction, the Guanyinqiao business district night lighting has become a famous night scene brand in Chongqing. Its integration of ecology, fashion, internationalization and regional style is deeply loved by the general public. Based on the continuation of the first two lighting styles, this design focuses on coordination and dialogue with the existing nightscape environment.

Exploring more appropriate expressions of architectural personality; on the technical level, using new lighting technologies, enhancing the precision of light control, paying attention to the expression of design details, improving the quality of light; coordinating the symbiosis by solving new and old buildings, new and old night scenes Contradictions, explore new concepts of lighting design in the process of urban renewal.

The northern building is a reconstructed building with functional replacement. The building is not prominent, but the location is a crossover entrance with a large traffic flow. How to display a flat building through night lighting package A different form is a big challenge. In the previous experiments, Tianyu Ginza found that after the artificial artificial light was projected onto the surface of the building, an obvious "face" phenomenon (color distortion) appeared. In the podium part, there are irregular curved delta wings and trapezoidal surfaces that require illumination, which is a challenge for controlling light color and accuracy, and an opportunity to improve the quality of light.

4. Planning brightness level

In this plan, the brightness is divided into four relative levels, with a maximum of 4 and a minimum of 1. According to the relevant provisions of Chongqing local standard "Technical Specifications for Urban Night Lighting" (DB50/T234-2006). The brightness grading is specified as follows: the absolute value (maintaining value) of the corresponding brightness of the fourth level is 25 cd/m2, and the absolute values ​​of the brightness corresponding to the third, second, and first levels are 15 cd/m2, 10 cd/m2, and 7.5 cd/m2, respectively. Both the North Building and Tianyu Ginza are high-quality buildings with outer ring facades, with a brightness rating of 2, 10 cd/m2.
