Mercedes-Benz Launches AR Application to Aid First Aid in Accidents

Electric vehicles have gradually become popular. As electric vehicles now have high-voltage cables, batteries, and other new transmission components, when they encounter a safety accident, they bring new challenges to on-site emergency personnel. On-site emergency personnel can no longer easily judge how to cut the body to rescue accidents in an emergency situation. If cutting is wrong, it is extremely dangerous for both accident and rescue workers.

In response to this situation, Mercedes-Benz developed an App App Rescue Assist that helps on-site first-aid personnel know the internal structural components of the vehicle. It has a body structure diagram and data for Mercedes-Benz and its various brands.

The application joins AR augmented reality technology and guides the rescue personnel on site to cut the vehicle in conjunction with the site environment. Rescue Assist can make it clear to the rescue staff which parts are hidden under the metal plate to judge whether it is safe to cut it out.

At present, all new Mercedes-Benz, Smart minicars, and Fuso cars have preset QR QR codes at the factory. Opening the application scanning QR QR code can obtain internal data of this model, and Rescue Assist can be used without connecting to the Internet. Even if it is an old car, the owner can find the QR code of this model by the local dealer to obtain this function.

Users can download the Rescue Assist application for iOS and Android devices for free. The application covers the range of Mercedes-Benz cars since 1990; all models of Smart since 1998; all Mercedes-Benz light commercial vehicles since 1996. Model. Â
